Available incentives for agriculture

  • LED grow lights
    Achieve long-term savings and shine new light on your business with LED grow lights.
  • Dual and natural exhaust vents

  • High-efficiency ventilation exhaust fans
    Your business can receive a max of $250 per fan.

  • Recirculation ventilation fans
    You can get a high-volume, low-speed fan for up to $2,410 per fan.
  • Photocells and timers for lighting controls
    You can receive $180 per timer and photocell controller combo.
  • Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) for Southwest Region
    Photovoltaic (PV) & Battery storage

Greenhouses Stream 

Incentives are available for horticulture lighting, both top lighting and inter-lighting, and advanced lighting controls for greenhouses across the province.

For greenhouses in the southwest region of the province, incentives are available for Distributed Energy  Resources (DERs), including incentives for photovoltaic (PV) panels in combination with battery storage.


  • PV: $1,435/kW
  • Battery storage: $260/kWh


  • Incentives for DERs are available for greenhouse operations located in the Chatham/Lambton/Sarnia and Windsor/Essex regions. Facilities installing DERs must be located in the area identified by FSA to be eligible for incentives: N0P, N0R, N8H, N8M, N8N, N8P, N8R, N8S, N8T, N8V, N8W, N8X, N8Y, N9A, N9B, N9C, N9E, N9G, N9H, N9J, N9K, N9V, N9Y
  • The PV must be mounted on a new or existing rooftop; be “behind-the-meter”; not inject power into the distribution grid, nor be entered into a “net metering” contract with the local distribution company for bill credits or bid into a local system operator market.
  • Minimum capacity: PV minimum generation capacity of 50 kW; minimum battery storage capacity of 500 kWh.

LED Grow Lights Key Benefits

LED grow lights are more efficient than traditional lighting systems, consuming up to 55% less energy to give the same level of light.
