Save on Energy

Save on Energy Update

Save on Energy is committed to ensuring the safety of our customers and communities. We recognize the challenges that COVID-19 is bringing to individuals and businesses across the province and we want to assure you that support continues to be available for electricity customers and consumers in managing their electricity consumption.

The Ontario government’s COVID-19 response framework identifies various levels of public health and workplace safety measures by region depending on the number of cases and the spread of the coronavirus. in each region. The IESO and Save on Energy (SOE) representatives across the province will continue to be responsive to these public health measures and to respect the evolving restrictions put in place.

In compliance with the government’s COVID-19 response framework, some direct-install programs may be temporarily suspended in some regions where more restrictive measures, such as “lockdown,” have been imposed. Potential program participants in those regions will be put on a waiting list and contacted when the restrictive measures have been lifted and SOE representatives can resume activities.

Save on Energy representatives will continue to ensure health and safety protocols are in place before undertaking any in-person activities under the Save on Energy programs, where and when they are permitted. Remote and virtual support will continue to be the preferred option to engage with customers wherever possible.

SOE representatives will be in touch with customers to review health and safety protocols and to confirm customers’ comfort prior to scheduling visits to their homes or businesses.

The IESO and its SOE representatives will continue to follow guidance from provincial heath authorities and to make adjustments to program delivery safety protocols as necessary.
