You also must enter into a Participation Agreement and sign a Work Order no later than October 1, 2025. You must implement the eligible upgrades no later than December 31, 2025.

There is no cost to participate in the Commercial CoolSaver program. However, as the financial incentive offered for the eligible HVAC measures may not fully cover the proposed services and equipment, participants may need to pay the difference to their contractors.
You, the participant, have the final say in what upgrades you would like to install. Your selected Commercial CoolSaver qualified contractor will provide you with recommendations and will ensure that the existing equipment and any resulting waste products from the removal of existing equipment and installation of eligible measures are removed and disposed of appropriately. If there are any additional disposal costs, the participant is responsible for reimbursing the contractor, and this will be clearly indicated on your invoice.
Yes, as long as your preferred contractor is a qualified Commercial CoolSaver contractor. Only qualified Commercial CoolSaver contractors are permitted to install and service eligible equipment in the Commercial CoolSaver program. If your preferred contractor is not yet qualified, please direct them to sign up by emailing info@commercialcoolsaver.ca or directly calling us at 1-888-365-9363.
This is intended to save you time and eliminate any potential concerns about the quality of the installations. Commercial CoolSaver-qualified contractors undergo training and regular quality assurance checks to ensure a uniform, high-quality experience for all program participants. Using an program-qualified contractor means you are working with someone trained in industry best practices and who is subject to ongoing quality assurance evaluations.
While there shouldn’t be any issues with the newly installed equipment or any services provided under the program, if you have concerns about the quality of the work done, please contact the contractor that performed the service. For further assistance please reach out to a Save on Energy representative at info@commericalcoolsaver.ca. You will receive a response from a Save on Energy representative within five business days.
