Changes include:
Incentives for solar photovoltaic systems are now available across the province.
Incentives are available for small and large commercial, industrial and institutional participants who are interested in behind-the-meter solar installations to displace their load and reduce their demand on the grid under the Prescriptive stream.
Microgeneration projects up to 10 kW of direct current (DC) capacity are eligible to receive $1,000/kW-DC, and small-medium generation projects greater than 10 kW up to 1 MW of alternating current (AC) capacity are eligible to receive $860/kW-AC, up to 50 percent of the eligible project costs. Projects larger than 1 MW-AC are eligible, however, the incentive is capped at 1 MW-AC.
Incentives for the installation of energy management information systems (EMIS) are available for industrial facilities under the Prescriptive stream, funded by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) as part of its Green Industrial Facilities and Manufacturing Program. Industrial facilities with an annual baseline energy consumption of less than or equal to 400,000 GJ are eligible to receive $50,000, and industrial facilities with an annual baseline energy consumption of greater than 400,000 GJ are eligible to receive $250,000, up to 50 percent of the eligible project costs, for the installation of an EMIS.
Prescriptive computer room air conditioning (CRAC) incentives for new and existing data centres are available. Note that facilities that require cooling for their computer room are eligible, even if the organization is not technically a “data centre”.
