How do commissioning providers help deliver the EBCx program?

The EBCx program offers financial incentives to participating commercial building owners, operators and managers to hire qualified commissioning providers to undertake building recommissioning at their facilities to increase energy savings, reduce costs and environmental impacts through improved facility operations and maintenance (O&M) business practices. The program also provides pay-for-performance incentives to participants for savings achieved through implementation of these practices.

As an authorized commissioning provider, you will carry out the building commissioning process for program participants by identifying potential energy conservation measures and working with these participants to implement recommended building improvements. After implementing the recommendations, you will train participants to engage in ongoing commissioning and to integrate this process into their standard management practices.
